What I have been curious about is the Port of Algoma

Given the logistical potential of the location, the Port of Algoma is being carved out as a separate business entity under Essar Ports Global Holdings Ltd, Mauritius, to redevelop the port as an International Marine Gateway for handling all commercial cargo including Essar Steel Algoma cargo.

It was argued that Essar Algoma in the Sault who had this port under their umbrella, strategically shifted this port to the Parent Company, Essar Global. By doing this it was argued that fair value was affected in the bids for Essar Algoma in the Sault, since this port is strategic to them.

It will be interesting to see what happens to this port down the road with all the continuing ..um.. err...Essar Problems.
