Kiikenomaga Kikenjigewen Employment and Training Services’ (KKETS) goal is to build community capacity and increase Matawa First Nations members’ participation in the current labour market workforce and local economy.
The Skills Advance Ontario- Kiikenomaga Kikenjigewen Employment and Training Services Project (SAO-KKETS Project) supports ongoing employment preparation and training as economic opportunity is realized in Northwestern Ontario. It prepares the Matawa First Nations’ workforce for employment by partnering with construction-sector employers in Northern Ontario to 1) recruit workers from the 9 Matawa First Nations, 2) prepare workers for employment, 3) provide employment supports for workers and employers, and 4) ensure that employers and workers establish long-term employment relationships.
KKETS is seeking a dynamic, qualified and committed SAO-KKETS Lead Coordinator for a short-term full-time appointment (16 weeks) with the potential to be renewed on a full-time basis for up to 1 year.
