Message: The Liberals Should Be Committed....

I don't recall seeing this news article posted, so please excuse the duplication if this is the case.  If NOT, then here is some more good news to go with what is to come.  Whether it's the PCs or Liberals talking I think we can all agree the pressure is on to make the Ring of Fire a reality. Lately it seems like everyday its name is mentioned, and soon the general public in Southern Ontario are going to be asking their local politicians more and more questions about what their party is doing to make it happen...About time.

COMMITTED TO RING OF FIRE

There might not be any specific mention of the Ring of Fire in the federal budget, but Nickel Belt MP Marc Serre says the feds are still committed to it.  Serre says the remote region is missing critical things like power infrastructure and broadband.  He says this is what the feds are focusing and working on, so the mining companies at the site can do what they do best which is to focus on exploration and extraction.  Serre also believes what will eventually be needed at the Ring of Fire is a road-rail combination to extract the chromite and other metals.   He says in the meantime the feds are talking with the province about the road work project.   Serre says the federal government has been spending money to help develop the Ring of Fire including spending $69-million last year to install much-needed broadband technology.
