Not a very boisterous feel to TB's pitch....they would seem to be at the bottom of the pile for the best site...

Thunder Bay Mayor Keith Hobbs says he sees no downsides to the prospect of a ferrochrome smelter being located in the city, suggesting that any “environmental” concerns that might be raised are manageable.
“There will be push-back from some who are concerned about the environment,” Hobbs said Monday.
But, he said, mining proponent “Noront Resources and the city share those concerns, and will address them in an appropriate manner, should Noront choose Thunder Bay as its preferred site.”
He added: “I see no negative side to the processor being located here.”
Noront is accepting “informal” submissions from Thunder Bay, along with Sault Ste. Marie, Sudbury and Timmins, to make the case for the company to locate a future smelter in their backyard.
