For the Nth time, many thanks Hoov.
"Back to the regularly scheduled discussion.."
But not so fast.
What you present is partly what I had from history lessons but once exam time was over, mostly shoved out of regular memory for more day to day events.

Again you tell me natives were nomadic. What semi permanent settlements they made was around the locations where they could trade their furs etc. for european goods.
I conclude that they for the most part were not tied to any particular piece of land until trading with europeans became prevalent. So what tradition is there associated with the land? Very little if one describes 200 to 300 years of it.
I have relatives who lived on same land with deeds in Europe from 1800 but lost it in WW2 with no compensation. My family lost to more powerfull forces so in Canada that does not apply? Tell that to Quebecers.
I am not complaining, but feel all people should be treated more or less the same. Hence my comments.

But about the discussion. We need to understand the natives and their position because that has direct influence on claims, mining, patience and eventually our potential profits. Ed.
