Algoma-Manitoulin MPP Michael Mantha isn't keen on Premier Kathleen Wynne's recent trumpeting of road agreements for Ring of Fire.
The Ontario premier announced Monday agreements are in place with First Nations to start road construction.
“During 14 years of Liberal government, not one shovel has hit the ground,” said Mantha in a statement about Ring of Fire. “Not one kilometre has been built. And now Wynne is making more promises on the Ring of Fire without a budget, without a timeline and without proper consultation with all nine First Nations involved.”
Ring of Fire holds deposits of chromite used to make stainless steel.
