Message: Proposed Roads?

"An east-west road connecting the Webequie and Nibinamik communities to the provincial highway network will be planned and built, providing all-season access to the communities and the Ring of Fire, as well as a road connecting Marten Falls First Nation to the existing provincial highway network."

So how is this to be interpreted?

1. An east-west road connecting Webequie and Nibinamik.

2. A road connecting Martin Falls to the existing provincial highway network?

Is the closest highway not highway 11 north which is south of Martin Falls?

I may be wrong about this but according to an older provincial road map highway 584 runs north of Geralton (on hwy 11) to Nakina.

This appears to be the closest provincial road to Martin Falls.

I must be missing something?

An east west road from webequie to Nibinamik does not connect to an existing all weather road?

The closest road appears to be at Pickle lake, considerably south of Nibinamik?

Anyone got better info on this?
