Message: Re: First Nations and mineral development on Treaty 9 lands

So....I guess we will be looking at a three-way joint partnership eventually....Noront, X2 Resources or Glencore  (major money bags), and our friends and associates of entitlement, theTreaty 9 Matawan First Nations....But Matawa will have to figure out amongst themselves who rightfully should be a part of this partnership, which in itself poses the greatest dilemma if you ask me.  That is.....unless they have learned how to share amongst themselves...I am sure the creator would have wanted it this way.

Really...Hoov is right....It seems likely the only way we are going to get any sort of progress here is by putting all this greed aside and just splitting things evenly.  I am personally getting tired of all these neverending negotiations, and like Hoov I too see this sort of partnership as the most inevitable course to expect and follow. Sure.....Why not.....OK......No problem.....Provided the First Nations are willing to take the same risks by helping to payoff their part of the financing..Yeah, you heard me...Time to take out a loan in good faith there partner.....Building mines costs money, so how about we get a tax free, and interest reduced loan through our FN associates...They can later help us pay it off as they begin collecting their share of the profits once the Ring starts making money.....Sounds like a great arrangement.

No one in my books gets a free ride.... Especially those who want to be respected as their own nation, and start truly governing themselves.  If we Canadians must learn from our past mistakes then fine, I'll be the first to apologize for my ancestors if they mistreated our First Nations.  What was done cannot be undone, and we must start over. But this does not mean that the First Nations are without fault, for with self-governance comes not only expecting respect from others, but also showing it in return.  We are in this together.....Prosperity and responsibility go hand in hand....Don't forget it.

True North, Strong.....But sure the "H" ain't Free....We all have to pay for it.

TM.
