What reconciliation, if we wait much longer it may happen in the second half of this century, if ever possible.?
Lets consider just Mattawa group.
What reconciliation can be achieved with them without a road into the region?
To properly reconcile one has to address the fundamental problem before we can continue with the rest i.e. secondary services to be local schools, clinics with hospitals and of course jobs (mines?) etc.
None of those can exist without better communication facilities and expecially road transportation. That is what I call fundamental.
If you are building a house you start with the fundation, then walls, roof and finish the interior at the end. What sense does it make to endlessly talk about interior decor if you have not even decided on the fundation?
And what are we getting?
Talk and more talk about what may be in 10 or more years instead of what is needed now. Commited hardly, just talk of such without substance.
Road access should have been done in the previous century.
Apologies to everyone here for another rant about which most of us know fairly well. If only Toronto, Ottawa and natives would start on the basics first and debate about the details much later on.
