Essar Steel Algoma has invited reporters to a Friday-morning announcement at its No. 2 Gate on West Street.

Kalyan Ghosh, the Sault steelmaker's chief executive officer, is expected to disclose details of "a new chapter in our history," the company advises SooToday.

The ceremony is scheduled at 11 a.m. tomorrow with a photo opportunity at 11:15 a.m.

No details about the content of the announcement have been released.

Essar Steel Algoma has been under insolvency protection of the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act since November, 2015.
