As I understand things, Ontario will not spend a penny of that 'commited' 1 Billion dollars if it is not matched by the Feds.

And it is not in the current budget because it is not expected to be utilized during this budget`s term.

Not that I want to defend the Ontario government, any government, or any party, but on this aspect the province is getting a bad wrap from the media.

The media should focus on the federal liberal government ( as with former Conservatives) as to why they are loath to fund infrastructures for the Ring when they are the ones to benefit the most after the natives. I mean, it is the federal government that is throwing money today at the needs of the natives through support payments and with the needed infrastructures the Feds would save cash in the long run because those needs would cost less and services would improve.

It escapes my logic, because Trudeau was willing to throw cash on native projects (campaigne promise) that would not provide monetery return while neglecting the Ring which would return, some if not all, expenditures by means of taxes paid from mining operations and all that would be resulting from those operations.

This is just the tip of my frustrations with politicians.
