With transportation conversations already taking place between First Nations and the province, which is also funding the infrastructure, Noront is considering amending the project description back to just the mine site, which would reduce its “duty to consult” onus to just eight.

I consider this not a major roadblock but the Main and probably the Only One, all else pales by comparison. "Consulting" with eight communities is bad enough, 20 is practically impossible. I mean what do the other 11 have to do with it and Noront should not give them the time of day.

Finally, where were these communities before the Ring of Fire was discovered. They raise their voices now only for expected freebees. And some of us are bending over to deliver. Who would have thought?
