Ed, i think it's going to have to come to it... Let be frank.... Not all Fn feel this way.. But ones in higher powers and whom make this decsion with demand it. So I think we have no choice..... Hopefully I'm wrong....

Getting it right? Give me a break. This is a term used by weak minded individuals that are ONLY concerned with getting enough terms in office to make sure that they qualify for the Government pension... Go ahead and tell me I'm wrong because guess what, I'm not. Politics today is not about what is best for a county or a region. It's about those in power not sharing power.

Sorry, I digress. The fact that this has been going on for 10 years is a testament to 1 thing. Ineptness of both the FN's and Government. FN, do you really believe that you "deserve" anything other than the jobs and perhaps other "considerations" for what is up there? You claim that others are taking the resources from the lands that you "own" and exploiting the land at your expense. Give me a break. What have you done to exploit these resources yourselves? Don't just tell me, show me!! If you are so in tune with the land up there, why is it that others have made this discovery? Ok, let's forget about this discovery. What are your people doing TODAY about the next find? Is anyone out there on YOUR Lands (give me a break) looking for the next find? Please, name me 1 person who has looked at the Government maps that show the high occurences of electromagnetic anomolies up in the far north... Or, are you waiting in your nice warm homes hoping that the next find is even bigger so you can cash in on an even larger percentage?

Can you guess what I have been given by the Government in my life? I'm sure you can. Not a thing. Didn't even qualify for child support when I was married and had my only daughter at home. NOTHING. I made my own way. I have pride in that fact. Guess pride is something that the FN's have forgotten about. Wonder when that happened. And don't give me the "you took our pride away" BS. My Great Grandparents had everything taken away from them in the Ukraine just over 100 years ago. I don't go and protest that. I don't demand that they give my back the land that they took away from my ancestors. Life is too short. And, I have Way too much pride to go grovelling for what doesn't belong to me.

In short, our Government needs to "get it right". This does not mean giving in to a few individuals that make demands. Think about the precedent that you are going to make. Do you think that anyone in this great big wonderful country of Canada will bother trying to do anything in the future or make any discoveries if someone demands a percentage off the top "just because they were here first"!! Give me a break. You are setting up this country for failure!

In all honesty, if I didn't have money invested in this company, I would be screaming for the government to shut this down and give the FN's nothing... That is what they deserve. They do NOT have the right to hold the Governments of this country ransom for their "share". Governments, WAKE the Heck UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
