It seems that the two ships Noront and Ring of Fire set off in 2008 to much fanfare, but that many would believe that those ships have sailed. Dutchman, surely you are familiar with The Flying Dutchman , the legendary ghost ship that can never make port and is doomed to sail the oceans forever?

The coincidence is uncanny , as to date it seems that both NOT and the ROF have been sailing the seas of government bureaucracy, ineptitude and First Nations appeasement for eight long years...stormy waters for sure, with enough magnetic anomalies to spin the compass of the most seasoned of captains...

...some have reported brief glimpses of those two ships during the intervening years... I even maintain that I spotted a former captain of NOT (forced to walk the plank like his well-loved predecessor), at a lunch bistro here in Toronto. (Funny how visions of nickel-ladened sea vessels can cloud one's mind)...I believe that these two ships have long been grounded, but that a strong tide of optimism has recently unmoored them from their rocky shoals, and that a blonde-haired siren has shed light upon their ghostly silhouettes off on the horizon.

Have these ships finally regained their bearings and seamanship, and if so, whose flag will they be flying upon their arrival?
