Section 3 of the terms of reference is for Screening of Transportation Routes:

In it's environmental assessment, Noront will redo the screening level assessment of the four "potential transportation route options" described on Page A-15 of the March 2010 SNC Lavalin report, which is included in the proposed Terms or Reference ("the screening"). At the conclusion of the screening, Noront will identify the final route alternative(2) to be assessid in detal in the environmental assessment. In re-doing the screening Noront will:

- Describe the criteria used (e.g. caribou, wildlife, archaeology)and weighting applied and any other information that Noront relied on to refine it's proposed alternatives assessment from four alternative routes to the alternatives in the Terms of Reference (the screening).

- Consult the Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change, Aboriginal communities and interested persons on the criteria used and weighting applied in the screening.

-Complete and document the screening process and conclusions in a logical and transparent manner taking into consideration any new information made available to Noront and any inputreceived from consultation

- Reference and include any documentation or sources relied on to support the screening.

Maybe I'm just being optimistic... hopefully Noront has completed the secondary screenings by now, and have been working closely with the group responsible for the native road study & any levels of government that have interest in the project, to determine the best route in terms of providing the best economic/social benefits while minimizing environmental impacts. This is nothing to be rushed, but it's also not rocket science.

This is a fair bit to look forward to...there's probably a lot more deliverables than this list here, and this is just for eagles nest. I'd like to know why, what, where, who, and when the ring of fire will be (not necessarily in that particular order).
