Mauro cabinet appointment 'good news for the North': Angus

Thunder Bay-Superior North MPP Michael Gravelle will stay put as Minister of Northern Development and Mines under the cabinet shuffle.

Considering the enormity of the effort Gravelle has been taking toward developing the largest chromite deposit in Ontario’s history, Angus feels Premier Kathleen Wynne made the right choice.

“All of us in the Northwest are looking for completion on the work the province has been doing on the Ring Of Fire,” Angus said.

“The development of the development corporation, the relationship with First Nations, decisions on the provision of infrastructure. That’s a heavy load and I’m pleased the Premier decided not to change horses midstream because that would ste us back a considerable amount of time.”
