Some of following are exerpts and compilations from:

"governments’ obligation to provide “essential public services of reasonable quality to all Canadians” under s. 36 of the Constitution Act, 1982."
'Therefore constitutional transgressions by the government’s failure to provide safe drinking water, an essential service which is vital to life, health, and human dignity.'
“the federal government has never provided enough funding to First Nations to ensure that the quantity and quality of their water systems was comparable to that of off-reserve communities.”
I agree IF the federal government had polluted the waters. But is the government responsible if the natives themselves contaminate it?
I as a citizen and potential payer say Heck, No.
I mean, if I contaminate the ground water on my property and in turn am using that water, am I to sue the Feds for my problem? Absolutely Laughable.
Are the Inuit to sue government for unsafe water or lack of sewege treatment?
Are we NOTers to be next to pay for such demands in order to get our mine?
