Sure, Wynne said it was to build a transportation route, but it must be becoming clearer that the Government has no intention on spending that money towards infrastructure to get the minerals out of the ground. Wynne and the "(non)Development Corp" are simply waiting for someone to step up and finance the route, take them off the hook.
They say the money is put aside, but I doubt that for a government this much in debt. If they do spend, it will be after someone else has stepped up to finance the infrastructure (think Chinese Rail n/s, and other partners for the e/w road), and it will be a fraction of the $1 Billion, and it will go to fixing First Nations basic issues like drinking water.
This is how I think it plays out. Yes pressure needs to be put on the government, but the ROF is NOT a priority, GTA transit is because that is where the votes are.
