Budget is expected to include details on limited wine sales in grocery stores

Ontario Finance Minister Charles Sousa will present the province's budget on Feb. 25.

The MPP for Mississauga South revealed the date today during a speech at the Empire Club in Toronto.

The budget is expected to include details on limited wine sales in grocery stores, and firm up the Liberal's plan to eliminate the $7.5 billion deficit in just two years.

NDP Leader Andrea Horwath is worried the Liberals will continue to freeze hospital budgets and make more cuts to health services, and says the budget should raise corporate income taxes.

Progressive Conservative Leader Patrick Brown says his party will offer its ideas for what should be in the budget next week.

The Tories warn the Liberals will kill jobs and slow economic growth with their new provincial pension plan and their cap-and-trade system to put a price on carbon.
