To Ron Thomas PDAC President:
Lots of recent coverage from the Ontario's auditor about the lack of Ring of Fire progress / planning by the Ontario Liberals has been covered in the press. In addition, the PDAC recognized some sessions ago the key players that discovered the major find. Great smiles then but I suspect faces of disappointment today for these mining leaders..
Its my hope the PDAC will draw out discussions on this topic , during this years sessions . Both constructive and if necessary hard discussions on the reasons for the delays.
The mining community needs the jobs, FN's needs the connectivity to main stream infrastructures like roads, FN needs the royalties for self management/direction and the government needs the revenues/taxes.
100 years of mining is a low estimate of the Ring of Fires potential.
Suggest: the PDAC collect miners/attendees signatures to present to the Liberal government requesting progress on this opportunity.
Cheers Ontario Resident, John
