This following link to the editorial below says it all. In order for the First Nations to maintain their traditional ways of life and at the same time survive and successfully share in what the rest of Ontario has to offer, a vital link between the north and south is the crucial next step to our Ring of Fire saga. We have been divided for too long over reasons and excuses which should have died, or at least set aside, long ago. It is becoming all too apparent that with the social, economic and environmental changes our country is going through that now is the time that we must finally come together. My feeling is that our road is close at hand, and IMO our upcoming budget will no doubt reflect this. Not because it is the road to riches, but because it is the right thing to do.
