The Cliffs thing has been talked about in the past ad nauseam so I am not going to deal with it here again. " Where is Franco Nevada And why haven't they stood up to help finance and help with this loan problem" Franco-Nevada loaned money to Noront to buy the Cliff's property, so that is like asking why your bank won't help you with your morgage problems. If Noront can't make the payments to Franco-Nevada then they get to keep the Cliff's property just like the bank would get your house. If Noront goes broke then Franco-Nevada gets the Cliff's property as well so why should they care?

RCF is what is keeping Noront alive. They regularly lend money to Noront to meet operating costs and get paid in shares for it. I guess RCF and Noront prefer this to Noront selling shares on the open market. Under such an arrangement there is no way of knowing how much RCF will end up with, it depends on how long they are willing to keep lending Noront money. I suppose Franco-Nevada could lend Noront more money but I have a feeling they are only interested in the chromite otherwise they would have stepped onto the scene much earlier like RCF did.
