I am surprised at Smeenk for exaggerating. This happens when someone wants to sway the reader to his point of view.
The nickel mine is supposed to pay itself back in under 3 years and not 15!
Also:
"Noront, which has been leading the charge for a east-west corridor from the Ring of Fire to Pickle Lake, is now backing a winter road from Marten Falls,"
Winter roads do not replace or are equivalent to all year roads. This is mixing apples and oranges. Just because we want a winter road does not mean we no longer want or need an all season permanent road.
Noront road was planned to go along higher ground to reduce number of bridges and their cost. And of course there are no native communities who want the East-West road of Noront. Is he kidding?
