Over the past couple of months its become increasingly clear that Marten Falls and Aroland FNs seem to be doing their own thing. First we have abnormally quiet response to the E-W road study. Then the 'outrage' of April 9th on finding out that Noront bought the Cliff assets. Then all goes quiet again and we find out that they have been supporting the Zaiback bid since at least April 13th if not longer. Now we have Marten Falls driving their agenda of its got to be good for us (chromite first, NS route, partner with 'US' or else) and there will be no development if NOT wins the bid. In amongst all the Marten Falls' chest thumping and indignation we have not heard a peep from Webequie. While I think there may be solidarity with regard to government negotiations I'm pretty sure the northern communities are aligning themselves with the NOT proposal and Marten Falls are doing their own thing.

It will be an interesting couple of weeks to see how the Cliif Asset purchase shakes out and whether Webequie takes a more vocal role.
