Here are a few items that could help Noront in particular....

"support for the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency, and other federal permitting departments, was essential to ensure a timely and effective review of significant mining projects."

"The 2015 budget renewed investments for the Aboriginal Skills and Employment Strategies programme, the Skills and Partnership Fund and for Indspire."

"extending the 15% mineral exploration tax credit for flow-through share investors for another year."

"costs associated with undertaking environmental studies and community consultations that were required to obtain an exploration permit would be eligible for Canadian Exploration Expense treatment."

"$23-million over five years from Natural Resources Canada to stimulate the technological innovation needed to separate and develop rare earth elements and chromite."

"It also proposed $42-million over five years to expand the footprint and resources of the Trade Commissioner Service (TCC)."

Although not specific to ROF, the money seems directly towards dealing with some problem areas...rather than just putting money on the table and creating a free for all.

Just committing lots of money does nothing to move the project(s) forward....as witnessed from the province's $1 billion announcement. Solving the probems of low education and high unemployment and creating an environment where we could move forward on permitting issues and environmental issues....that's what's going to move this forward.

Although there's more than enough talk of the chrome...it's the development of eagle's nest that will kick things off. The chrome is not so relevant at this time and it doesn't matter if that takes a few more years to sort out.
