The high speed rail (mentioned during Premier Wynne trip to China) is for the the Hamilton-Toronto-Oshawa corridor as far as the current Ontario government is concern. The Chinese would be very keen to sell their technology to Canada, since this is big buck projects, worth many many billions of dollars.
For the RoF, we would be lucky to get a regular line to connect the RoF to the CNR uisng conventional diesel locomotives. Also, forget about an electrified rail for electric train which some FN group was proposing (perhaps for a different corridor, EW from Moosonee, Attawapiskat toward the west along the Attawapiskat River) along with the scheme to bring in cheap power from Quebec.
