I am also a KWG shareholder. My reasons for making this a Noront petition was only for the fact that a permit was issued with the ministry # PR-13-10102 to Noront....last year.

All rules were followed. There was a 30 day public consulation window open to everyone.

Zero comments were recieved. A permit was issued April 19, 2013 for a 3 year period.

There is no legal basis to prevent this exploration on crown land from going ahead.

I have also written an email to Patricia Mills at Northern Business. I let her know about this petition and I wrote letting her know my feelings as a retail shareholder.

We seen stories in the media about the Ring of Fire regularly.

Never have I seen one article that looks at the perspective of the retail shareholder.

We are viewed as faceless entities. Many of us are just simple folks trying to get by. We have a mulitude of reasons for investing.

Some of us believe in supporting local investment in our community.

Some of us are struggling and scrapping money together hoping for a better future. Some of us are retired, living on peanuts.

I have heard some of these reasons for investing in Noront by some of the investors on this board and have shared a few below. Below are some of their future hopes and dreams.

I invested because I hope to give my daughter a beautiful wedding.

I hope to give my grandchildren private school education just as I did for my own children.

I haven't been on a holiday for 10 years and hope to be able to afford to go somewhere nice with my wife one day.

I hope to own a condo one day and not be a renter.

I hope to buy a guitar.

I want to have enough groceries in my fridge.

I hope to not be so worried about losing my job and to have a bit of cushion.

I hope to replace the much needed roof on my home one day.

I want some savings to be able to pay for things when they break down.

I hope to replace my old car one day that I drive to work and drive my kids around in. It no longer feels safe.

I hope to provide college or university for my kids one day. It is so expensive.

I am struggling to raise my child alone...I want to be less financially stressed and to be a happier parent.

I hope to have the means to survive financially and to look after myself because I am gradually losing my eyesight.

I had a root canal last year and am hoping to have a crown put on but it's $1500.

These are just some of the hopes and dreams of some of the Noront investors....

It is time the government took notice and stopped treating us like faceless people.
