Message: OPA's Remote Power Plan 2013

http://www.powerauthority.on.ca/power-planning/regional-planning/northwest-ontario#Areas 4 and 6

I apologize if many of you have seen these reports from the OPA outlining the power plans and feasibilty studies done for areas north of Dryden, in particualr the areas in and around the ROF. OPA's view addresses the need to take these remote areas off diesel generation, along with scenarios which include and exclude the ROF from future planning. Please see the section of the webpage titled, "Areas 4 and 6 - North of Dryden" for downloadable reports from the OPA which address many of the issues of planning and cost associated with extending the provincial power grid to remote areas toward the JBL. I am posting this due to the talk of energy concerns facing the ROF; a topic of a recent Republic of Mining editorial. Again, I apologize for any duplication.

TM.
