QUICK FACTS

Through the NOHFC, Ontario is providing $783,916 to the Canopy Project at the Centre for Excellence in Mining Innovation, a not-for-profit organization that directs innovation projects in the mining industry.
The province is providing $100,000 through the NOHFC for the Diesel Emissions Reduction Research project at the Canadian Mining Industry Research Organization. It is a not-for-profit organization that brokers research projects in the mining sector.
Since 2003, the NOHFC has invested $953 million in 6,200 projects across Northern Ontario, creating or sustaining more than 23,800 jobs.
