Where did this info come from? With the support from KWG, this northern portion of the ice road could be built on the eskers. This would form a good base for the subsequent building of a permanent NS service road and RR (thinking as an arm-chair strategist). A NS corridor with RR and permanent service road, as the backbone of the RoF, is always an option.
