Regardless of whether the route to the Ring of Fire is E/W or N/S I think we can all agree that there are going to be winners and losers here with either plan, something I believe the FN and the mining companies are well aware of. I would have to agree with Edgy that logic should prevail in determining the best case scenario for developing the Ring of Fire, which IMO will be what the DEVCO will focus on when deciding how things are to proceed. This leads me to believe the Ring will start off with something that Canada knows best, nickel, and once that begins to pay off then we can start talking about chromite and rail lines going N/S. Till then Noront should be allowed to take advantage of their planned E/W route to open the Ring since they are the closest to success. Interferring with this is only going to prolong the success of all those who want to see the Ring of Fire actually happen sooner rather than later.
