I doubt very much that Cliffs will just simply give up to whomever comes with money in their pocket, they are no doubt waiting things out till a bidding war over their share of the Ring is in full swing. They have no intention of showing any weakness in their current state, eventhough it is quite obvious. Sure, they would love to get rid of their ROF assests because without their open pit plan being accepted, which it will not, I don't see them going underground to extract the chromite in view of their many financial constraints. Cliffs needs to stay at home, lick their wounds, kiss up to their shareholders, and seriously concentrate on what their next move is, since Canada has already bit them in the assets not just once, but twice. They will sell, the key here is they will not be searching for buyers, they are instead waiting to see who comes to them first with offers; IMHO. I don't think this will happen till next year at best.
