I noticed a nice move in the Cliffs share price today and yesterday.
Seems to me if you were interested in the Cliffs ROF claims...you could wait until the July 29 AGM date...hope that Casablanca is successful in their proxy fight ...and that they spin off and sell the Rof Claims as they had indicated they would.
Noront indicated deep pockets and mentioned ..should the ROF claims be up for sale ...they would be interested.
The Glencore /Patrice (Casablanca nominee) news today has me thinking that Glencore is MOST LIKELY very interested in these claims.
So what do you do if you are Glencore...and if you are interested?
Do you wait until July 29 and fight it out with "other" opponents who have come out publicly stating their interest...
or....
Do you make a play for All of Cliffs .. before the July 29th date.?.
Just for fun..let's say Glencore approached Cliffs with a nice friendly offer for their whole company. Cliffs might not be so opposed ....keeping in mind the Casablana battle they are currently up to their eyeballs in.
It's very possible if Glencore makes an offer for Cliffs ...a 2nd offer can come from someone else very well cashed up.
This would certainly create some fireworks in Rof-ville.
The headlines would ring of New fresh sexy blood in the ROF with very deep pockets and
to speed development along...why not forget the kwg/cliff land claim appeal...pay the legal fees..and move forward.
You just never know.
If could very well be the reason the grubs are working overtime.
