On friday I read Luker's post at 1:09Pm and had a thought on the back of my mind that bothered me but had no time to post a reply. Now have reread and I quote from 5th paragraph.

"At least three companies have been pushing rival transportation proposals,"

My response is What 3 Rivals? Only rivals were KWG and Cliffs. What bothered me is that the author must have implied Noront as a rival to the other two.

Noront was never a rival to Cliffs but had Cliffs built a railway or a road Noront would be glad and willing to use either. Assumption being that Cliffs would not object to have a client to help with costs of construction or per use. So much for Cliffs rivalry.

Now for my major contention:
Noront and KWG are in no way rivals and if anything are cooperators and possible partners.
That means for a railway from KWG to lower transportation costs to Noront, E/W road that Noront could help fund but KWG could and would use for access to the Ring. E/W road and proposed railway are not rivals but complimentry to, each providing different aspects of access. Finally cooperation in usage of ramp to access the underground ores of both. I also suspect the managments of the two companies are on friendly terms with each other.

Another author who did not do his home work and prints inflamatory opinions.
