Message: NDP will NOT support the budget
I agree that this is the best scenario for Noront. I think maybe the market will to? Time will tell..... In my opinion (although I've never been good at reading political tea leaves) a Conservative win is the future here. Some of the polls show about an equal support for Liberal and Conservative, but Liberal voters are half as likely to make the trip to the polls. A Conservative majority is a possibility. As usual, I encourage everyone to check out the polls themselves and make their own conclusion. Given that a Conservative majority is likely, I could see Horwath back-tracking on her threat and supporting the budget. Unlikely though. With a Conservative win, things will move quickly, regardless of Federal funds. A Liberal government could result in more bullying of the Fed's which would be counter-productive. Again overall very exciting for Noront. JDR
