The lack of drilling and results will certainly not help promotion in the short term. However, it is possible that they would like to wait to drill the ore body which he references at being 1000 meters of depth until they are underground. Once a certain depth is reached, old re-mucks can easily be turned into diamond drill bays. This would lower the total amount of drilling, and increase the accuracy.

This scenario would be years down the line, but if they already have a 11 year mine life in mind, then waiting to drill off the ore body at lower depths would not change the schedule at all.
