I doubt anyone thinks he is stupid, but probably most would say shrewd and very politically partisan.

And Redgreen, no one says "He WANTS Canada to fail ?". What we say is he wants the Conservatives to succeed and I say he does manipulate events to that end.
Had a conservative Premier of Ontario visited him the result would have been much different, and quite probably such a visit would not have been needed in the first place.

Many of us want politicians to be an example (i.e. true leaders) to the nation instead of derogatory terms.
