because of all the pre talk on this site about the ea, there were comments about what would be there. there was mention of e/w road, infrastructure requirements, fn relations, environmental concerns, jobs creation. all of these ideas were bandied around as if these issues would be centre stage.
it appears to me that none of the topics was discussed. so how can people make comments in the next 90 days on a road if no mention of a road exists. how can they comment on any of the above issues if nothing about those issues was written.
if the 'real' EA is to come in 3 months, will it contain these issues and why would people not have the right to talk about those written ideas.
this stuff today seems a waste of breath.
if this is an important step forward, i am more than happy.
it seems so vague and almost political/lawyerese
so that would be where my 'disappointment' would lie in that i was expecting something people could discuss, chew and get on with decisions.
i think both gov'ts would be very happy with today's a'nnouncement' as it gives them 3 months more to wonder what the heck they're going to do. and if gravelle is waiting for not's plan before the liberals announce theirs, then he must be ecstatic that no plan was revealed and thus he can wait as he has stated so many times, to get this thing right.
this is all because the plumber didn't show today so it was a day's loss. i hate to bother the neighbour at 3 am to use the loo but so be it.
