I'm reading a book called "Thieves of Bay Street" by Bruce Livesey,recommended reading for all retail investors.In one chapter he describes how young interns at large legal firms would come to the office very early and rifle thru the papers on the desks of lawyers working on mergers then use that info for trading profits or just sell it.There is too much of that going on every day and the SEC,OSC and other regulatory bodies do not have enough boots on the ground to even make a dent in it.
