I have been doing a lot of reading as of late about the rules of trading stocks and the use of stock forums like this one. We have routinely blamed anon as if it is some large institution or entity purposely dumping noront for it's gain. That may or may not be true, but one entity we have never discussed is that of retail. Or a group of retail investors who stick together to do the very same thing.

Retail often thinks they can get away with it because the OSC and other regulatory authorities only look for the "big guy". More retail guys have been put in jail in the past ten years than any big institution. There have been many complaints to the OSC on behalf of real noront shareholders. Many think they are doing nothing about it. We will see I guess. Any manipulation of any stock, whether done by huge instos or retail is illegal. Bashing to acquire stock or pumping to unload it. Same goes for multiple aliases. It's all illegal, and the more pressure put on the OSC the more light that is shed on the given stock. Retail often thinks they're "just playing the market", when in fact, they are committing a crime. Just something to think of folks.
