Generally I agree. However, sometimes it's exciting when you want to share a great find and you want to tell everyone you've been associating with for several years the good news.....and by that time people should know who you are, enough to say yes or no. I got into Zen and watched it go up and then down below where I bought and was not pleased, but being what it was, it sailed right back up and way beyond and now I am in a much better position to do some damage on a NOT purchase when the time is right. It's hard being out when you could have jumped in on a tip, but recognizing a good play when it's in your face and dropping the "dead in the water" stocks for a time is what we need to do in this rough market we live with.
