Now that the Liberals no longer have to worry about an immediate (unwinable) election scenerio, they can start moving things forward. In my opinion, Northern Ontario and the ROF projects are as a result now politically de risked. Meaning they don't have to worry about the Southern Ontario electorate. There is enough job creation, revenue generation and social expansion asssociated with these projects to repair even the tarnished reputation of the Liberals in time for the next election cycle. They need to start it up fast though to ensure Southern Ontarion sees benefit in time for the next election and I think that is what they are going to do.
