Baosteel back then wanted protection in case of a buyout offer. That is how I read it. Have I missed something

Bao's protection was a 90 day exclusivity period. The had a right of first refusal. Couldn't

agree more with your assertion that it hasn't gone exactly as Baosteel wanted.

IMO they still have exclusive right to match any deals/offers by others.
