I think it terribly unfortunate that first world greed, laziness, graft and lack of vision have made us whores to China. Our politicians are the pimps and they see the quick way to make money but the long term consequences are those things no one wants to talk about at the moment. Where are the inovators, the modern day frontiersmen, the inventors who could put our resources to use on home turf? And yes, China is obviously interested in the ROF, our forests, oil slicks and everything else they can lay waste to. Flown over the clear cuts in BC lately? Imagine what it will look like when China moves into high gear. Let's not even get into the laws and agreements that leave offshore operators immune to the laws of our own country, such that they could build a mine or quarry in your back yard and you couldn't do a thing about any problems they might create. Yes right about now everybody wants money any way they can get it from their investments and it doesn't much matter who's paying the bill and what the tradeoff is. Remember the hopes of $20 from Xstrata et al.....well now it's China for .25 plus premium and an unforunate number of investors who have bought at low low prices are looking forward to it when some are still hoping for $2, 3, 4, 5, 6? Let's send the military in and clear out all of the FN so we can get our money ok? Well, it seems to me that, though difficult to understand and perhaps like, it seems that the FN are the only true Canadians left to protect the people and the land on which they stand. The rest are happy to sell out under the cloak of jobs and deficit, problems created by those without vision, faith in the people or guts. What a poor excuse for leadership. Everything we buy is made in China. Soon everyone we work for will be Chinese or Chinese owned. I wonder what that will mean in the end? Gotta go, I'm late for my Mandarin class. I'd like to be ahead of the wave.
