Well now with Wynne as the new Premier let's see if the Ring of Fire will be as prominent in her efforts as it was in her campaign.
Below is an article quoting her thoughts and commitment to the region.
She has promised to do a lot for the infrastructure necessary for the Ring of Fire.
Finally some hope for the people of Northern Ontario and of course Noront investors.
In my opinion she seems sincere and commited. She personally has experience with Native issues and has a personal connection to the North as she has spent some time in her projects there.
As the new premier, in my opinion she is most likely to push forward sooner rather than later with initiatives that have already been cooking for some time such as the Ring of Fire.
It allows her to make maximum impact in the shortest amount of time as opposed to going to the drawing board to hash out new ideas.
She needs to get going right away in hopes to win the next election.
She is also big on giving Northern Mayors and Cabinet Ministers more autonomy to do what they think is needed. That will be big for the development of the region.
To me this brings some excitement here and I hope to hear more about Wynne's plans for North as a Noront investor.
