Cliffs won't be the big guy on the block in the ROF. The area is a game changer and represents economic control. It places power in the hands that control it, and exposes weakness of those who don't. The fight is on. The ring is emotional for a reason. I have a hard time turning the tv on without hearing something about this 'potential' new mining district.
Talking begets talking. The more that is discussed the more plans are put in motion. The area is already a done deal, the details are the only 'potential'. Ups and downs inevitable, fortunes lost and made, dreams shattered and met. It's what happens when so much is at stake.
"if it's so good, why isn't every major mining company up there yet"?
Protection of their current economies is what I hear the most. Everyone needs to remember that the ROF isn't a simple 1000 oz per year gold mine. It's an economy, it is so big it will threaten otherwise viable mines. There is so much more here then simply opening it. Ducks in a row is an understatement.
Enjoy the ride folks, 99.9% will never witness this again. And don't worry, $ will be made to those with patience.
