Ahhhhhh, to each his/her own, but this is not totally true. You are losing each time it continues to drop below what you paid for it and the above philosophy does not allow for the possibility that it may not return to at least the purchase price. The latter is a distinct possibility and there are many investors sitting on losing stocks that they've been holding for many years waiting for them to return. You are also losing from the standpoint that you have not redirected funds back into something that is making money. The above quote helps one to feel better about a loss when one should never be accepting losses casually, but analytically with a definite sense of where one will let go. I have lost significant dollars waiting for a stock to return. Hmmmm. Lost a few on NOT too.
