David David David, You might better go back to bed and get up on the smart side. The trap line animals that you so eloquently describe as "keep coming", ask yourself this. Why trap these poor beasts in the first place? There is no market for fur anymore. The days of the Hudson Bay fur trade have passed. Ask a trapper what he gets for a pelt? It would be like like knocking off your wife for a $2000. dollar insurance policy. Hardly worth the risk. hahaha. He could make more money working part time at McDonald's rather than traipsing through snow and bog in the dead of winter.
The second part of your post sends us to a site with two pictures of a tar sands operation. Apparently these are before and after photos. Looking closely I see trucks and vehicles on the roadways which tells me this is still very much an operating site, yet to be rehabilitated. I also note in the picture the land mass that the site depicts. Do you realize what a infinitesimal acreage this is compared to the land mass of Alberta? Its like a pixel on a 72 inch TV screen. JMHO but I could be wrong. the deputy
