Actually, what I see is a bunch of political bafflegab.
An east/west route would provide a transportation corridor and transmission line route to connect several First Nation communities as well as the needs of the mines that are to be built. A north/south route as visualized, will help no one, not even Marten Falls.
Yet Ontario comes out in support of the north/south route, while pleading with the feds to support what could only be accomplished by the east/west one. Go figure.
The feds will not contribute to the north/south route. Why would they?
