Here is my take on the current events. Noront will build the all weather road to Pickle Lake and be mining long before Cliffs. Cliffs will be facing a Caledonia suituation. The natives as well as the people of Greenstone are ready to take them on and at whatever cost! In my opinion Noront knew that this is how it was going to be played out all along. Hence why they have been staying under the radar. Wouldn't be surprised if they didn't have the road already started.
